Palestinian clans and tribes in northern Gaza secured international aid convoys Thursday without involvement from Hamas, marking an unprecedented shift in the strip's humanitarian distribution system.
Akef al-Masri, a senior clan representative, stated that the trucks that entered on Wednesday carried flour, food supplies, and medical equipment, which were delivered to "relevant parties" for distribution. He emphasized this represents "a first step in a series of steps" with "surprises expected in the coming days." Another senior tribal leader, Alaa al-Din, confirmed they initiated efforts to secure supply convoys to prevent looting incidents and violence.

Hamas' Gaza communication office issued an unusual statement explicitly clarifying that Palestinian clans secured the aid convoys in northern Gaza without involvement from Hamas or other armed organizations.
