Negotiations in Qatar over a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip have reportedly stalled due to disagreements over the proposed map for an Israeli military withdrawal, according to sources cited by the Egyptian channel Al-Ghad. The matter is now pending the arrival of US envoy Steve Witkoff in Doha.
Despite the impasse on the withdrawal map, sources say negotiations continue on other key issues, including guarantees for the ceasefire, the "keys" formula for the hostage deal, which defines how many terrorists would be released in exchange for each hostage, and the mechanisms for facilitating humanitarian aid into Gaza.

The sources added that should partial agreements be reached on these outstanding matters, Witkoff is expected to visit Qatar to help resolve the dispute over the IDF' withdrawal plan.
