A breakthrough? Israeli officials said Tuesday morning that the sides are closing in on a deal, "just days away, maybe even less."
According to one official, "the vast majority of disputes have been resolved, including the issue of humanitarian aid. Under the deal, 500 trucks will enter Gaza daily. 300 of them are designated for distribution centers, and the rest spread across the Gaza Strip."

There is also agreement on the terms for releasing terrorists. About 1,000 prisoners are expected to be freed, in addition to 100 to 200 serving life sentences. However, the official added that "the final unresolved issue is the map of the IDF's planned withdrawal from the Morag corridor."
Amid the ongoing negotiations, a Palestinian source told Saudi news outlet Asharq that indirect talks between Israel and the Hamas terrorist organization in Qatar are still focused on the withdrawal maps. According to the source, who spoke with the Hamas-linked channel, Egyptian and Qatari mediators are working with the US administration to bridge the gap and produce a map acceptable to both sides.
