A 3-year-old boy was critically injured Monday when a heavy piano fell on him at his home in Har Gilo, near Jerusalem. He was rushed to Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center with severe injuries to his chest and abdomen.
Magen David Adom paramedics said they were called to the scene by one of the parents and did not witness the accident. According to the boy's father, the child tried to climb onto the piano, causing it to wobble before toppling over.
MDA paramedic Tal Revivo said the team found the boy unconscious, with no pulse or breathing, and suffering from major trauma to his chest and abdomen. "We began advanced resuscitation, including chest compressions, artificial respiration, and administering medication for pain relief, while evacuating him to the trauma room at the hospital in critical condition," she said.
