Hamas sources told the Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat on Monday that the ideas relayed to them by mediators contain "many traps and pitfalls that must be cleared."
At the same time, the sources said the ideas also include conditions that meet everyone's demands, first and foremost ending the war, which is the main focus of the terrorist organizations. The sources stressed that Hamas was "open" to considering any proposals brought before them without taking "rigid positions that could complicate the situation further."

The sources added that what has been presented so far are ideas being arranged, modified and developed as part of ongoing talks with various parties, including the mediators Egypt and Qatar. Their goal, they said, was to reach a comprehensive proposal that would fulfill everyone's demands while guaranteeing a final end to the war.
The officials confirmed that the ideas include the release of all hostages on the first day, but Hamas emphasized that it faced "difficulties" with that demand.
According to the officials, "there must be clear guarantees for an Israeli withdrawal based on the lines agreed upon in the January deal. After that, during the negotiations on ending the war that Trump promised, there would be a gradual withdrawal from different parts of the Gaza Strip."
