Qatar's prime minister urged Hamas to agree to the latest US proposal for a ceasefire and the release of hostages in Gaza, a source briefed on the talks in Doha told Reuters on Monday.
"The Qatari prime minister pressed Hamas to respond positively to the latest American proposal, which was conveyed through the mediators and aims to secure a cease-fire agreement and the release of the hostages held in the Gaza Strip," the source said.

After Hamas announced on Sunday that it had received American proposals, sources within the terrorist organization told the Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat that the ideas passed on by the mediators contained "many traps and pitfalls that must be cleared."
At the same time, the sources said the ideas also include conditions that meet everyone's demands, first and foremost ending the war, which is the main focus of the terrorist organizations. The sources stressed that Hamas was "open" to considering any proposals brought before them without taking "rigid positions that could complicate the situation further."
