Two Hamas terrorists were killed Sunday night in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, in a clash with members of the al-Majayda clan.
Hamas' internal security apparatus said the men were ambushed on the beach by armed members of the clan. According to Hamas, the two terrorists were supposedly on "a mission to resolve a family dispute," and not engaged in policing activity, when they were shot dead. The organization threatened revenge and demanded the clan "disown" those responsible for the attack.

Palestinian sources said the bloodshed was part of an ongoing feud: At the end of last month, Hamas terrorists killed a member of the al-Majayda clan who was affiliated with Fatah and the Palestinian Authority. The same sources claimed that terrorists from Hamas' Sahm Unit had planned to target the slain man's brother on Sunday, but were gunned down as they tried to kill him .
Earlier this month, the clan issued a statement accusing Hamas' Sahm Unit of murdering their son, Ibrahim Fathi Majayda, "in cold blood" despite his being "innocent, except for his devotion to his principles and his service to the people." The family declared it holds Hamas and the Sahm Unit "fully responsible for the crime and its consequences."
