A media outlet with documented Hamas ties celebrated Hannah Einbinder's pro-Palestinian Emmy acceptance speech while obscuring the actress' bare shoulders from their social media coverage, New York Post reported.
The "Hacks" star drew attention from Quds News following her televised awards ceremony proclamation of "Free Palestine." Yet the terror-connected organization completely blurred the Jewish performer's upper body in their video footage, rendering her Palestinian solidarity pin invisible through the digital modification.
"Hannah Einbinder explains that her decision to say 'Free Palestine' during her Emmys acceptance speech came from her belief that, as a Jewish person, she has a responsibility to distinguish Judaism and Jewish culture from the ethnonationalist project of the Israeli state," Quds News wrote on X before deleting the post Monday morning.
The social media entry generated immediate online mockery, with many users pointing to the irony of the terror-affiliated media outlet's eagerness to utilize Einbinder's message while modifying it to conform with their content standards. One X account characterized the incident by suggesting Quds News effectively stated: "We would like to thank the obscene infidel hooker for her support," according to the New York Post. Another X user observed, "The people you scream on behalf of think so little of your rights as a woman that they CENSOR your entire upper body."

Quds News presents itself as an independent media organization operating within the Palestinian diaspora, though it faces repeated allegations of close connections with Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist groups, the New York Post reported. Since Hamas's 2007 Gaza seizure, the terror group has imposed severe restrictions on women's rights, earning condemnation from the UN and human rights organizations for their poor treatment of female residents.
The actress's conduct sparked fierce opposition from Jewish community members who slammed Einbinder for normalizing anti-Israeli sentiment on such a major stage. Yuval David, an Emmy-winning Jewish actor, criticized Einbinder's comments, calling them a "performance of ignorance, not courage," adding, "She said nothing about peace, nothing about ending the war, and nothing about the hostages still suffering in Gaza.
"To claim Jews can be separated from Israel is an insult to our history and faith, as more than seven million Jews live there and every Jew in the world faces Israel when we pray," he asserted.
During her speech after winning Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, Einbinder concluded with "F**k ICE and free Palestine," and later explained her need to speak publicly to "distinguish Jews from the state of Israel."
"I feel like it is my obligation as a Jewish person to distinguish Jews from the state of Israel because our religion and our culture is such an important and long-standing institution that is really separate to this sort of ethno-nationalist state," she stated. Alongside her Emmy comments, Einbinder recently joined thousands in signing the Film Workers for Palestine pledge, vowing to avoid working with Israeli film institutions.
