The letter was sent by Levy and several other Jewish music industry figures to festival founder Michael Eavis and his daughter Emily. They argued that the band "Kneecap" encourages antisemitism and supports the Hezbollah organization. The letter was later leaked, exposing the representatives' actions regarding the artists they represent.

A music industry source claims that "Dua made sure through her people that David Levy wasn't working on her music anymore. She is very openly pro-Palestine and that doesn't align with David. She views him as being a supporter of Israel's war in Gaza, and the terrible treatment of the Palestinians and that was made very clear through the letter that he signed and sent to Michael Eavis."
The British singer is known for her anti-Israel positions. Among other things, in May 2024, she condemned Israel in an Instagram post to her 88 million followers, writing that it is committing genocide in Gaza.
In fact, the band Massive Attack from Bristol also stopped working with David Levy because of his positions. Now, Lipa remains with the same management company, "William Morris Endeavor," but is now represented by a different agent.
