The Arabic-language Sky News channel reported, citing its sources, that a full ceasefire deal has been reached and includes a gradual withdrawal of IDF troops from 70% of the Gaza Strip, as well as the implementation of a hostage deal.
According to a Palestinian source who spoke to the Qatari newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, the sticking points in the negotiations held in Sharm el-Sheikh have been resolved. The source said US President Donald Trump is expected to announce the agreement soon.
The source added that "changes were made to the withdrawal map from the Gaza Strip," and that as part of the deal, five crossings will open to allow the immediate entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza. The Palestinian source also said the agreement includes the release of 20 live hostages in a single batch during the first phase.
According to this source, the deal was finalized with guarantees from the US, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey to prevent a renewal of the war, provided both sides adhere to its terms.
The pro-Iranian channel Al Mayadeen reported that, according to its sources, Hamas has apparently agreed to the ceasefire deal, and that the signing is expected to take place Thursday in Egypt. The report said the agreement by Hamas and the other terrorist organizations would be announced following a statement from President Trump.
Earlier, the AFP news agency reported that the White House is preparing a draft of the speech President Trump is expected to deliver to announce the agreement regarding Gaza.
A senior American diplomat told Israel Hayom that the parties are just hours away from sealing a ceasefire and implementing the first phase.
