Osama Hamdan, a senior Hamas official based abroad, said Thursday that the deal agreed upon by the parties constitutes a "final ceasefire" that ends the war the Gaza Strip.
In an interview with Al-Araby TV, Hamdan stated, "The agreement reached is a final cessation of the war in Gaza. The international community must monitor Israel's conduct regarding the implementation of the deal. Prisoner exchanges will not take place unless an agreement to end the war is declared. The mediators have provided guarantees that (Israel) will not violate the deal, with the declaration left to the US."

According to Hamdan, the agreement includes the release of 250 prisoners serving life sentences and 1,700 additional detainees from Gaza.
Palestinian sources added that the humanitarian clause in the agreement includes the entry of tents and caravans, the reconstruction of infrastructure in areas from which Israel will withdraw, the reopening of the fishing zone up to 10 nautical miles, and the establishment of a temporary tent city in central Gaza, in the area of the former settlement of Netzarim.
Meanwhile, Palestinian media reported that Hamas submitted two lists of security prisoners it demands be released. One list includes prisoners serving life sentences and those with lengthy terms, such as senior Fatah figure Marwan Barghouti, Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine Ahmad Saadat, and senior Hamas operatives Ibrahim Hamed, Abdullah Barghouti, Abbas al-Sayed, and Hassan Salameh. The second list contains the names of 1,700 detainees from Gaza imprisoned after the war.
