Mail on Sunday published photographs of Katy Perry and ex–Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau kissing and holding each other on Perry's yacht near the California shoreline. Perry wore a black swimsuit while Trudeau, in jeans and sunglasses, appeared shirtless aboard the Caravelle, the outlet said.
A tourist on another vessel shot the photos, Mail on Sunday reported.
"She pulled up her boat next to a small public whale-watching boat, then they started making out. I didn't realize who she was with until I saw the tattoo on the guy's arm and I immediately realized it was Justin Trudeau," the bystander told Mail on Sunday.
The Haida raven tattoo on Trudeau's left shoulder allowed the tourist to identify him.

Earlier in July, TMZ said Perry and Trudeau were seen dining at Montreal's Le Violon restaurant, intensifying speculation about them. National Post cited the restaurant describing both as "very kind and warm with the staff."
The Mail on Sunday added that Trudeau's marriage to Sophie Grégoire ended in 2023 and that Perry also parted from actor Orlando Bloom that month.
