A man, Wong 71, reported his wife was stuck inside the Wang Fuk Court development during the huge blaze on November 26, 2025, as ABC News reported.

The Hong Kong government issued a statement clarifying that the conflagration began at Wang Fuk Court at 2:51 p.m. local time, escalating to "No. 3 alarm at 3.02 p.m., and to No. 4 alarm at 3.34 p.m.," in its severity.

Officials confirmed that four lives were lost, while one person was categorized as "stable" and two people were listed in a "critical" state due to their injuries, ABC News stated.
