Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinto spoke on Sunday at a conference in Doha, the capital of Qatar, where she was asked about the remarks she made at last week's Israel Hayom summit in New York regarding young Americans who support the Palestinian cause. She said she stands by her assessment and argued that young people are receiving only a partial picture of the conflict. Although she acknowledged that the humanitarian suffering in Gaza is horrific, Clinton added that suffering anywhere is horrific. In her view, focusing overwhelmingly on one conflict, no matter how severe, does not reflect the breadth of challenges the world is facing.
"I am angry at all the human rights organizations", she said. "I am angry about the excessive use of force, I am angry about what happened on October 7 in Israel, I am angry about what happened in Gaza. I am angry about what Russia is doing in Ukraine. I am angry about what is happening in Sudan. I am angry about what is happening in western Congo."

Clinton's interview with Israel Hayom commentator Yoav Limor at the New York summit drew significant international attention. Fox News, the New York Post, the Independent and other major outlets covered her remarks extensively. The most prominent reaction came on X, formerly Twitter, where a critical post about her comments went viral and drew millions of views.
Alongside her comments on young Americans' criticism of Israel, the former secretary of state also voiced concern that Israel's story is not being communicated effectively to the world. She encouraged continued expansion of the Abraham Accords and argued that Israelis need leadership that is not operating under the trauma of the October 7 attack carried out by the Hamas terrorist organization.
