Israeli airline Israir, owned by business magnate Rami Levy, has updated prices for ancillary products on its international flights – checked baggage, seat selection, and cancellation protection. The new prices will take effect for bookings made starting March 1, 2026, the airline announced Tuesday.
Checked baggage
The costs apply to passengers who purchase baggage in advance, either at booking or up to 9 hours before departure. Higher fees will be charged at Ben Gurion Airport, and different prices will apply at foreign airports depending on the destination. Personal item carry-on baggage remains free without change.
Carry-on baggage up to 22 pounds (10 kilograms) will increase to $30 per direction, and $40 when purchased at Ben Gurion Airport. The current price is $25 online and $30 at Ben Gurion.
First checked bag up to 51 pounds (23 kilograms) will increase to $60 per direction, and $100 when purchased at Ben Gurion. The current price is $50 online and $95 at Ben Gurion.
Second checked bag, up to 51 pounds, remains unchanged at $80 per direction and $110 when purchased at Ben Gurion.
Third through fifth checked bags will increase to $120 per direction per bag, and $150 when purchased at Ben Gurion. The current price is $90 online and $140 at Ben Gurion.
Overweight baggage from 53 to 70 pounds (24 to 32 kilograms) for the first checked bag will increase by $20 per direction, with an additional $70 fee at Ben Gurion. The current additional fee is $15 online, with no change at Ben Gurion.

Seat selection
Premium seats remain unchanged at $120 per person per direction.
Preferred seats will increase to $60 per person per direction, compared to $55 currently.
Front seats in rows 2 through 6 will increase significantly to $30 per person per direction for online purchases only, up from $18 currently.
Standard seats in rows 7 and beyond will increase to $20 per direction, up from $18 currently.
Cancellation protection
Cancellation protection will increase to $40 per person per booking, compared to $35 currently. Cancellation is possible for any reason up to seven days before departure, subject to terms and conditions. Israir recommends passengers purchase ancillary products now, including for spring and summer vacations, to benefit from current lower prices.
Record profit for Israir
About a month ago, Israir posted its best quarter in company history in the third quarter of 2025. The company's net profit jumped 75% compared to the corresponding quarter in 2024, reaching $35 million. Revenue also increased significantly, by 55%, totaling $258 million. The massive profit growth occurred despite foreign airlines returning to Ben Gurion Airport, amid Israelis fleeing abroad after the war with Iran ended.
The revenue surge resulted primarily from a sharp 43% increase in passenger numbers (807,000), enabled by operating an average of 18 aircraft during the quarter, compared to only 12 in the corresponding quarter. Israir's market share at Ben Gurion grew by 2.1 percentage points, reaching 13.76%. The growth trend is expected to continue, with the 2026 booking backlog reaching a record $125 million, an increase of 278% compared to the corresponding period last year.
