Speaking about the situation, Trump said the US is monitoring developments in Iran "very, very closely" and stressed that Washington has already made its position clear. If the regime in Tehran returns to violent repression and begins "killing people as it did in the past," he warned, the US would intervene and strike the regime "where it hurts."

Trump emphasized that any American involvement would not necessarily include ground operations. If required, he said, US action would take the form of a severe blow to the Iranian regime through other means. "We don't want this to happen," he said, adding that the warning had been delivered unequivocally to Iran's leadership.
The US president described the events in Iran as "amazing," calling them an extraordinary development to witness. "What's happening in Iran is incredible, incredible to watch," he said, noting that the American administration continues to follow the situation closely.

Trump also expressed concern for the safety of the protesters, saying he hopes they remain unharmed while describing Iran as "a very dangerous place." According to him, the protests are taking place under extremely difficult conditions, with a particularly high risk to civilians on the ground.
Addressing Iran's leaders directly, Trump delivered a blunt message: "You'd better not start shooting, because then we'll start shooting too." He concluded by saying, "God bless them," referring to the protesters, and stressed that the entire world is watching developments in the country.
