US President Donald Trump wrote Friday on his social media platform Truth Social that no agreement would be signed with Iran except for "unconditional surrender."
Trump added that after such a surrender and the selection of new leadership that is "great and acceptable," the US and its allies would help Iran rebuild and stabilize the country. According to him, such a move could bring Iran back from the brink of destruction and "Make Iran Great Again."
Earlier, Trump told Reuters that he would be interested in taking part in the selection of Iran's next leader.
