An Iranian surface-to-air missile was fired at an Israeli fighter jet during an Israeli Air Force operational mission over Iran, but the aircraft evaded the threat, the IDF said Saturday.
According to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, the missile launch was detected during the operation, and the aircrew responded in line with standard procedures. No damage was caused to the aircraft, and the mission was carried out as planned.
The IDF added that since the start of the war, there have been several attempts to target Israeli fighter jets in Iranian airspace, all of which were successfully countered by Israeli aircrews.
The Israeli Air Force will continue to operate and carry out strikes wherever necessary across Iran, the military said, completing its missions despite ongoing threats during every operational sortie.
