Yael Shevach, the wife of Rabbi Raziel Shevach, who was murdered in a shooting attack near his home in Judea and Samaria on Jan. 9, penned a stirring message and poem on Monday to Miriam Ben-Gal, whose husband, Itamar, was stabbed to death by a terrorist on Monday.

"I never thought I'd feel a sister was born to me," she wrote on Facebook. "Miriam, I'm hugging you, love. We will get through this. Together. Alone."

In a poignant twist of fate, the two widows are also bonded by the fact that their husbands knew each other through a mutual friend.

That mutual friend, Aviad Sharara, shared a group photo on Monday of Ben-Gal and Shevach together, smiling at Sharara's birthday celebration a year ago.

The following is the poem written by Yael Shevach to Miriam Ben-Gal:

Bonded by blood.
What a phrase.
A symbol of kinship. Family.
Bonded by blood.
A symbol of a relationship forged by blood.
Pure blood, holy blood.
I am a widow.
I was chosen as such.
I am a Jewish widow. Proud.
My husband is Jewish. Destined.
Such a cruel and bitter destiny.
And now I have been bonded to you.
My new sister.
We were destined.
Such a crude, callous destiny.
Our calling, it isn't known.
But we know it will be easier for us to carry it together.
To carry the aloneness, together.
In kinship.
In pain that will never relent.
I, too, will never relent.
Until you say, enough.
