As the White House prepares to hold discussions on the Israeli plan to extend sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, right-wing pundits and GOP officials have been pressuring the administration to give Israel the green light.

Form UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, one of the most popular figures in the Republican Party, praised the recent letters House Republicans sent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Donald Trump in support of the move.

Writing on Twitter, Haley said: "The Trump peace plan smartly allows for both Israeli sovereignty over territories essential to its security and an independent Palestinian state. The plan should move forward. Thank you to the members of Congress who are standing up for Israel, peace, and security."

The Trump administration's newly unveiled Vision for Peace stipulates that Washington will endorse an Israeli decision to apply sovereignty to large parts of Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley as long as Israel commits to holding good-faith negotiations with the Palestinians and avoid construction in certain areas that could become part of a Palestinian state. That state will only be established four years after negotiations begin and only if the Palestinians fully renounce terrorism and carry out major reforms, and only if they are no longer considered a threat to Israel.

Prominent Republican senators published on Tuesday another letter in support of the president's Vision for Peace, claiming Israel had the right to pursue its sovereignty bid.

"It is the sovereign decision of our Israeli allies whether or not they do so [extend Israeli sovereignty] but of course their decision takes place against the backdrop of the Vision for Peace and its assurances of American recognition, which are critical to locking in the progress your administration has made reversing the Obama-Biden legacy, restoring the US-Israeli relationship and establishing a realistic basis for peace."

Fox News host Pete Hegseth wrote: "The Jewish connection to Judea & Samaria is over 4000 years old. It's where Judeo-Christian civilization was born. Time to put the Judea back into Judeo-Christian values! I have no doubt @realDonaldTrump will endorse the full application of Israeli law over J+S, per his plan."

The famous right-wing broadcaster Mark Levin expressed enthusiasm for the move. "IT IS THE TRUMP PEACE PLAN! Let's get it done," he tweeted.
