The police arrested a Tel Aviv resident Monday night after he hit a driver on the head with a helmet in a horrific road rage incident.

The clash occurred after the attacker, who rode a motorbike, and the victim, who drove a car, had a fender bender. The former hit the latter on the head three times, at which point the victim lost consciousness and fell to the ground.
He was hospitalized at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center. Initially, he was reported to be in stable condition, but it deteriorated at night, and he was taken to the intensive care unit with fractures in his skull and intracerebral bleeding.
The attacker, who is 37 years old, was taken in for questioning by the police.
