Staff Sgt. Amir Galilove (20) from Shimshit, Staff Sgt. Uri Bar Or (21) from Sde Boker's Misreshet Ben-Gurion community, and Staff Sergeant Ido Appel (21) from Tzofar in the Arava fell in battle on Tuesday in the Gaza Strip's Rafah region from the explosion of a boobytrapped building.
An officer and two additional soldiers from the 50th Battalion in the Nahal Brigade were seriously injured. In the same incident, an officer and a soldier were moderately injured.
The officer and soldiers were evacuated to receive medical treatment at a hospital and their families were notified. In another incident Tuesday, two soldiers were seriously injured in a battle in northern Gaza Strip after fighting with terrorists.
