IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, stated in a speech that "Since the start of the war, the IDF has been systematically targeting Hezbollah day after day. We are diminishing the capabilities that Hezbollah has built over decades and pushing them further away from the  border line."

Halevi added that the IDF has eliminated over 600 Hezbollah terrorists, dozens of whom were part of the terrorist organization's military leadership. "The price Hezbollah is paying is increasing, and our strikes will only intensify", said Halevi.
