Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, passed away at the age of 100. Serving from 1977 to 1981, Carter is remembered for his diplomatic achievements, including the Camp David Accords, which paved the way for peace between Israel and Egypt.

Carter brokered negotiations between Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin during a summit at Camp David. This historic initiative marked a significant turning point in the Middle East and led to Egypt becoming the first Arab country to establish diplomatic relations with Israel.

Jimmy Carter was born in 1924 in the town of Plains, Georgia, to a farming family. After graduating from the US Naval Academy, he served as a submarine officer. Following his father's death in 1953, Carter left the military to manage the family farm and began his journey into politics.

In the 1960s, he served in the Georgia State Senate and was later elected governor in 1970. Carter championed policies of equal rights and educational and governmental reforms, building a reputation as an honest and trustworthy politician. This image helped propel him to the presidency.

In 1976, Carter became the 39th President of the United States. During his tenure, he faced severe economic challenges, including inflation and the oil crisis. He founded the Department of Energy and spearheaded initiatives for natural resource conservation. On the international stage, Carter stood out for his human rights policies and his handling of complex diplomatic engagements.

After losing the 1980 presidential election, Carter devoted his life to international humanitarian work. He established the Carter Center, which focused on conflict resolution, election monitoring, and advancing social projects. In 2002, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for decades of work promoting human rights and global peace.

Carter's legacy is one of unwavering commitment to justice and equality. He is regarded as one of the leaders who dedicated his life to achieving global peace and improving the quality of life in developing nations.
