Report: These are Syria's demands for peace with Israel

According to a report by Lebanon's LBCI news channel, Syria has outlined several conditions for normalizing relations with Israel. These reportedly include official Israeli recognition of the regime led by Ahmed al-Sharaa, a full withdrawal from territories captured by Israel last December, an end to Israeli airstrikes in Syria, security arrangements in southern Syria, and US guarantees and support for the Syrian regime. In return, Syria may agree to permanently recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

The report cites sources familiar with the situation in Syria and notes that the proposal includes not only bilateral terms with Israel, but also broader geopolitical guarantees, particularly from the United States.

Last week, Israeli National Security Council Chairman Tzachi Hanegbi presented Israel's rationale for normalizing ties with Syria during a closed session of the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. Hanegbi reportedly said that Israel and the Syrian regime share common interests and that Syria opposes Iran and its allied states and terrorist organizations.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump told Fox News that additional countries are interested in joining the Abraham Accords. When asked whether Syria was among them, he neither confirmed nor denied it.
