The IDF and Shin Bet announced Monday the elimination of terrorist Mohammed Nasser Ali Qanita in the Gaza City area on June 19. Qanita was a Hamas military intelligence operative in the Al-Furqan Battalion who invaded Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre.
According to the announcement, Qanita held Emily Damari in his home at the beginning of the war. Damari, 28, was kidnapped from her home in Kfar Aza and released after 471 days in captivity.
The IDF and Shin Bet emphasized they will continue operating with force against the terrorists who participated in the October 7 massacre. The elimination forms part of the forces' efforts to reach all those involved in the raid and kidnapping of Israelis.
Emily Damari responded on her Instagram account, writing, "May there be many more such good tidings, that we settle accounts with all of them with God's help. But the real victory will be when Gali, Ziv, and the other 48 hostages return to us."
"I want to thank the IDF soldiers and security forces who do everything to pursue and eliminate those who destroyed our bodies and souls," the captivity survivor added. "These are the faces of evil, faces I will never forget," she continued while displaying the photo of the eliminated terrorist.

Returned home after 471 days in captivity
Emily Damari (28), who has British citizenship, was kidnapped from her home in the "Young Generation" neighborhood of Kfar Aza on October 7. She managed to send a final message to her family around 10:20 a.m. on the day of the massacre, telling them about terrorist gunfire near her home. Her close friend Gali Berman came to be with her during the frightening moments, and both sent a joint selfie to the neighborhood WhatsApp group.
Another wave of terrorists then broke through the fence and rushed toward the neighborhood. Damari was shot and kidnapped while wounded, along with Gali and his twin brother Ziv. Her dog, Chocha, was shot dead. During the neighborhood massacre, 11 residents were murdered and seven others kidnapped.
Damari was released in January after 471 days in captivity. Her mother Mandy, who immigrated to Israel from Britain 30 years ago, worked tirelessly for her release and also appealed to the British government. Throughout the entire period, fans of Tottenham Hotspur, whom she was a passionate supporter of, demonstrated for her near the team's stadium.
