During the fashion show of the well-known Finnish brand "Marimekko" at Copenhagen Fashion Week, one of the models walked onto the runway with a Palestinian flag.
Model Jura Indexspring was supposed to walk the runway for the Finnish fashion and lifestyle brand, but over the dress she was meant to wear, she hung a massive flag that concealed the design and thus also damaged the brand, beyond the outrageous protest. Above the flag was written "Act now against genocide."

Despite some pro-Palestinian participants in the audience shouting encouragement, after the model finished walking the first part of the runway, she was removed by security guards who escorted her out on the brand's orders.
The model later published a statement on Instagram without apologizing to the brand. "The thing is, we have no future without Palestine. Don't you understand? If we accept that Israel will starve all of Palestine now, we accept that the world's rich will decide which minorities will be next for genocide," she wrote without mentioning the horrors of October 7 or the hostages still being starved in Gaza.
The Marimekko brand is known for its original and unique prints and colors. Their products include clothing, bags, and accessories, as well as home design items, from textiles to tableware. The company was founded in 1951, and currently has about 170 stores worldwide.
