Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories Major General Ghassan Alian published a message on Thursday on the Arabic-language unit's Facebook page, "Al-Monasiq," addressing Gaza Strip residents and claiming that "the IDF operates to weaken Hamas, prepares to ensure safe passage of residents to southern Gaza for their protection."
"In recent weeks, the Hamas terror organization has been leading a false starvation campaign," Alian noted in the video. "Contrary to Hamas' claims, the State of Israel doesn't lead a starvation policy, but rather a policy of preventing starvation. Every day, more than 300 humanitarian aid trucks enter, the absolute majority with food."
According to him, "We opened four crossings and eased the collection process, which led to a sharp drop in food prices in markets and a significant improvement in food accessibility. Hamas is the one responsible for the humanitarian crisis. It operates deliberately to worsen the situation while trying to take over the aid and exploit civilians as human shields."

"Safe passage for residents"
Alian announced that "the IDF prepares to expand activity against Hamas in Gaza City, aiming to weaken it, and simultaneously prepares to ensure safe passage of residents to southern Gaza for their protection. For this purpose, we began proactive operations to improve the humanitarian response in the southern Gaza Strip."
Within the framework of preparations for moving the population southward, Israel allows "bringing tents for shelters, working to establish additional field hospitals, and allowing additional medical equipment to strengthen the health system in the southern Gaza Strip."
"We'll allow food entry"
"Hamas will continue spreading lies," Alian said. "We'll continue operating in cooperation with the UN and international organizations to allow extensive food entry and ensure the aid reaches directly to you, Gaza residents, and not to Hamas."
