IDF forces struck a multi-story building in Gaza City on Friday that was being used by the Hamas terror organization. According to the IDF spokesperson's statement, Hamas infrastructure in the building was used for planning and executing operations against Israeli forces in the area. The IDF statement included an infographic depicting the strike.
An underground infrastructure was discovered beneath the building from which Hamas terrorists operated, and which was used for conducting ambushes and escape routes. The infrastructure formed part of the organization's tunnel system in the Gaza City area.

Before the strike, Defense Minister Israel Katz stated: "Now the lock has been removed from the gates of hell in Gaza. The first evacuation notice is being delivered to a multi-story terror building in Gaza City before a strike. When the door opens, it will not close and IDF activity will continue to intensify – until Hamas murderers and rapists accept Israel's conditions for ending the war, primarily the release of all hostages and disarmament – or they will be destroyed."
IDF spokesperson Lt. Col. Eli Defrin updated last night in a statement that the IDF has already begun Operation Gideon's Chariots II in recent weeks, and noted that the military holds 40% of Gaza City.
