The well-known model who was arrested on suspicion of involvement in a murder that occurred in her apartment is Lin Peer, who previously served as a state witness in the sex crimes case against modeling agent Shai Avital. Along with Peer, three men were arrested on suspicion of stabbing a man in her apartment in an incident that led to his death after he fell from the apartment window and was killed. Police are now trying to recruit her as a state witness in the murder case.
The incident began around a week and a half ago, when a man's body was found near a building in Petah Tikva where the model lives. The body was sent to the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute when the initial assessment was that this was a suicide. At the institute, it became clear that the deceased was the son of a life prisoner who was previously convicted of murdering his wife. But the central finding that led to opening a criminal investigation was the discovery of stab marks on the victim's body. Following this finding, a gag order was imposed on the case, and an investigation began that led to the arrest of the model and the three men.
The investigation reveals a complex picture. The model invited the three men to her apartment, where they consumed drugs together. At a later stage, the victim also arrived at the apartment. According to the suspicion, an argument broke out in the apartment during which the victim was stabbed, and then he fell from the apartment window onto a fence and was killed. In their interrogations, the model and the men claim the man jumped from the window of his own volition and was thus killed, but police suspect he was pushed or fell after being stabbed during the confrontation.

The detention of the model and the other suspects was extended until Thursday, November 6, when police are expected to request another extension of the detention.
Those in Peer's circle deny her involvement. "She's not connected to the case," sources close to her said. "She was in the apartment but didn't do anything. She's in total shock from the arrest." Attorney Shai Rodeh, representing one of the men, said, "My client denies the suspicions attributed to him, and claims that although he was in the apartment at the time of the murder, he was not involved in the murder itself."
Peer became known to the public previously as one of the key state witnesses in the sex crimes case against modeling agent Avital. She was one of 30 women who filed complaints against him, although ultimately an indictment was filed in only two cases.
In an interview she gave previously, she described the complexity the complainants experienced. "We are 30 women. 30, not one. And there are dozens and hundreds more women behind the scenes. Some of us, like me and others who suffered even more than me for years, were trampled and corrupted mentally every day." Peer expressed fear at the time of revenge from Avital. "I pray to the creator of the world that he won't take revenge. This person trampled my life, and the lives of so many other women."
The model herself is now in custody suspected of involvement in a murder case, while the investigation continues under a gag order.
