Former Military Advocate General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi was taken to Tel Aviv's Ichilov Hospital on Sunday morning following a medical incident after ingesting sleeping pills. According to medical officials, she was fully conscious when evacuated. Magen David Adom paramedics were dispatched to her home, and her life is not currently in danger. Authorities are examining whether the incident had a suicidal background.
A police source said that Tomer-Yerushalmi "is responsible for herself. The investigation team received a medical opinion stating she was found fit to undergo questioning and legal proceedings. Had the district psychiatrist believed there was any danger, conditions for her release or compulsory hospitalization would have been set."

Ichilov Hospital stated that "the former Military Advocate General was admitted this morning to the emergency department, where medical teams are currently assessing her condition."
The hospitalization follows recent developments in an ongoing police investigation. Yesterday, it was reported that the cyber unit of the Israel Police Investigations Division is trying to determine whether the internal memory of Tomer-Yerushalmi's iPhone, found two days ago in the sea off Hof Hatsuk beach, remained intact after spending several days in saltwater.
A police source familiar with the details told Israel Hayom that "the fact the phone displayed a lock screen doesn't mean the memory is functioning. After five days in seawater, that's highly unlikely."
Police emphasized that Tomer-Yerushalmi remains a suspect in obstruction of justice and filing a false report. Officials also criticized politicians, including Justice Minister Yariv Levin, accusing them of "playing politics with an active investigation." They added that even if the High Court of Justice transfers authority to Judge Kola, he has no power to run the investigation. "Such investigations, even under normal circumstances, are conducted by the Israel Police under the supervision of the head of the Investigations Division," they said.
