While Greta Thunberg transformed from a teenager seeking to save the planet from destruction to a political activist jumping on boats and hating Israel, her younger sister Beata seeks to maintain as much distance from her as possible while building a completely different career.

For those unfamiliar with the family's history, the sisters' mother, Malena Ernman, is a famous opera singer in Sweden who even represented the country at Eurovision in 2009. Their father is actor, film producer, and screenwriter Svante Thunberg.
Beata, who shortened her name to Bea and to distance herself as much as possible from her older sister also adopted her mother's surname Ernman, has tried in recent years to develop a career on stage as a singer, actress and model (not always with great success, it must be said) and even starred in a musical about Edith Piaf alongside her mother.
Despite her attempt to differentiate herself from her older sister, her image is bold in its own way, and a glance at her Instagram page or her performances, which include revealing clothing and provocative dances, makes it clear that she, too, is even happy to stir interest in explosive issues like sexuality and politics.
Bea, who celebrated her 20th birthday on November 3, plans to mark the occasion with a live musical performance on the stage of Stockholm's famous gay club Backdoor, which will take place next Friday.
Despite her efforts to ensure the family connection to Greta won't be identified, Greta herself is well aware of the price her sister and other family members pay for her activism and views.
"She's 13," she said in an interview with the Swedish press 7 years ago, "and she's being systematically subjected to bullying, threats, and harassment. The people who threaten me and hate me do it to my whole family, including her."
