The perpetrator was filmed shouting at a man with an ultra-Orthodox appearance, "You are to blame for all the problems in the world. You always start fights! Who started World War II? The Jews!"
According to the lawsuit, Tides doled out an undisclosed amount of the donations to a radical BLM breakaway group run by anti-police activist Melina Abdullah, who had previously lost a "frivolous" $10 million lawsuit against BLMGNF. This was first reported by the New York Post.
The 18-34 age group accounted for more than 68% of Holocaust denialism, minimization, and distortion.
"Columbia has disqualified itself from educating the future leaders of our country," the judges' letter reads.
"We have received reports that passers-by have been confronted, surveilled, and followed. Such actions are indefensible," Interim Harvard President Garber writes.
"While only a small number of these children's personal effects remain, they are invaluable witnesses to the systematic genocide perpetrated by the Nazis," Supreme Court President Esther Hayut says.
This was the peak of the Holocaust Remembrance Day events, which began a day earlier in Budapest. The main march went from Auschwitz to Birkenau, with the participation of 8,000 people from all over the world, including 55 Holocaust survivors.
"Campus cops were just looking at us getting assaulted and didn't want to intervene," the man recounts.
Israeli student Talia Khan, who attends MIT, wrote on X: "I'm so heartbroken that there exists such unbridled hate on my campus. I'm so out of energy." MIT has not officially commented on the video, although it is unclear if this was on campus.
In a message to the university community on May 1, 2024, Provost Angela V. Olinto stated, "Given the evolving campus situation, we are working hard to provide support and accommodation to our students, particularly those who are in residence on our Morningside campus. Again, the safety of our community is our highest priority as we strive to support our students' learning and all the required academic operations."
