Amid cash-flow problems and the lack of a comprehensive IDF work plan, the US will operate four new concrete plants along the Gaza border, aiming to fill deep tunnels and build a massive US base. 

Israel has raised its alert level to its highest point amid concerns that fighting with Iran could resume, although the security establishment would prefer to maintain US military pressure and the blockade on Tehran. Alongside preparations for another possible campaign, fears are also mounting that an Iranian miscalculation could trigger a sudden regional escalation.

Israel’s security cabinet will convene Friday, reflecting the country’s heightened vigilance ahead of the United States’ next moves against Iran: “Trump will decide whether Israel enters the campaign, which could escalate at any moment.” Iran has also reportedly raised its alert level to the highest degree.

Israel is preparing for the possibility that the campaign against Iran will expand and include Jerusalem if US strikes intensify. Diplomatic-Security Cabinet officials stress that conditions have not been met yet, but the Israel Defense Forces is prepared for any scenario, and Israel will respond forcefully if attacked.

Amid the escalation between Washington and Tehran, dozens of US military refueling aircraft have deployed to Ovda and Ramon air bases. Israeli security officials are holding daily assessments in case the confrontation could draw in Israel. 

High-level talks in Rome reportedly yield significant breakthroughs regarding the framework agreement, while Beirut firmly rules out any potential meeting between the Lebanese president and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Direct taxation, control of markets and smuggling are helping Hamas swell its coffers. Funds from abroad are funneled into the Gaza Strip through an offset mechanism in the form of goods. The IDF is divided: Southern Command is pushing for a return to fighting, while the General Staff warns against military rule in Gaza. A security official says the resignation of the head of the terrorist organization's government committee is "only for show, for the Americans. On the ground, nothing will change."

The plan to establish humanitarian shelters near Rafah is stirring anger and concern in Gaza border communities. Officials warn: "Any process that does not include disarming Hamas will endanger us and all of Israel." Kerem Shalom residents: "As long as Hamas is armed, it will be impossible to distinguish between residents and terrorists. There will be a drone smuggling highway."

Leaked document outlines a 40 billion shekel ($11.1 billion) deficit that military leaders say compromises long-term security, halts defense infrastructure projects, and forces immediate cuts to operational training.
