Sources familiar with the negotiations say mediators are nearing a compromise formula that includes the transfer of dead hostages without "ceremonies". The process is said to serve as a "prelude" to further deals during a "transition phase" toward the second phase of the hostage deal.
According to the Saudi report, the dead hostages will be handed over in exchange for the release of Palestinian terrorists who have yet to be freed from Israeli prisons. An Israeli source says the reports are not true.
One attendee who declined to provide their name claimed to know Nasrallah, describing him as "a hero" while emphasizing they were "not a Hezbollah member."
