US secretary of state meets with Israeli leaders and warns time is running out for agreement, saying "It is time for everyone to get to 'yes'.”

On Tuesday morning, Kibbutz Nirim confirmed that the bodies of Yagev Buchshtab and Nadav Popplewell had been recovered from a tunnel in Khan Younis. Both were declared dead by the IDF in July, while their bodies were still in captivity. Kibbutz Nir Oz announced another hostage's body, Yoram Metzger, as having been returned as well, as well as Avraham Munder, whose death was not previously known. 

Despite the lack of visual confirmation during the Friday incident, military and air force officials have not entirely dismissed the possibility of a small unmanned aerial vehicle launched from Lebanon. Sources confirm that Netanyahu was not at the residence during the reported incident.

"In our worst nightmares, we never imagined August 18 would come with our Romi still in Hamas captivity,” Romi’s family wrote in the “Bring Romi home” Instagram account.

The official stated that Hezbollah and Iran are investigating the intelligence failure that lured the terrorist into the apartment where he was assassinated, suspecting that Israel had surpassed their counter-surveillance measures with superior technology and hacking capabilities.

A source from the Hamas terror organization says that Washington suggested deferring negotiations on Gaza's reconstruction and the easing of restrictions until after the initial phase of the agreement is implemented.

This incident comes at a time of heightened international scrutiny of Iran's actions in the region, with Iran announcing it will attack Israel unless a ceasefire is reached in the Gaza war.

"This incident further illustrates how Hamas positions its military assets in close proximity to civilian buildings and populations, effectively using them as human shields," the IDF spokesperson stated.

While Hamas retains some military capability, senior US officials believe Israel has achieved a significant military victory. The group is no longer capable of planning or executing an attack on the scale of Oct 7, and its ability to launch smaller terrorist attacks on Israel is in doubt.

According to the Jewish Chronicle, a Duvdevan undercover team posed as UNRWA workers delivering aid, while others disguised themselves as Muslim religious figures. Two agents were stationed near the building's entrance: One as a vegetable seller and another as an elderly beggar.
