A stream of senior US officials is on its way to Israel in a bid to prevent the collapse of the next phase of President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan. Envoy Steve Witkoff is expected to arrive Sunday, attempting to mediate over the issue of deceased hostages. Vice President JD Vance is scheduled to arrive Tuesday for his first visit to Israel in office.

Families of Israeli hostages and survivors of captivity held a central rally Saturday evening in Tel Aviv’s Hostages Square, the first since the recent release of all living hostages. The gathering came as Hamas announced it would return two more deceased hostages. 

Hamas informed mediators that it had located a deceased hostage in the Gaza Strip. Israeli authorities are preparing for the transfer.

Arab and American sources have confirmed that the Sunni axis, which also includes Bahrain, has warned the White House that the Trump Gaza plan is in danger of falling apart. “As long as Hamas retains its weapons, we will not continue with the process,” the message states.

The Houthi terrorist organization officially announced that its military chief of staff, Muhammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari, has died. During the war, Israel attempted twice to eliminate the Houthi leader.
