As part of building the legal case against the Gaza Islamic terrorist group, the Israel Police's special felony unit, Lahav 433, questioned the perpetrators and interviewed victims and others, shedding light on the sadistic nature of the Islamic terrorists. Volunteers who helped collect bodies said that there were also sexual abuses against some of the men who were found. In some cases, the victims' private parts were mutilated.
