An aliyah wartime journey: How the hike up Masada made newly minted Israelis bond
The original plan was a rendezvous at the Tel Hai hostel, but fate intervened with the war, reshuffling the cards. Undeterred, the young men and women, many of them new immigrants navigating the intricacies of Israeli life, embraced the challenge.
