As lawmakers expressed outrage over army's probe of Israel's mistakes leading to October 7, the Coalition's ideological divide became evident.

Oct. 7 taught us that this conflict is existential, and that exacting a price from our enemy is not just about killing terrorists • Those in Gaza who want to emigrate and leave behind the culture of death should get help in doing so • And – a visit to a south yearning for its residents to come back.

"If Sheldon was with us today he would fully support Israel in its righteous battle. Sheldon would have looked at Gaza and placed responsibility solely on Hamas, and only on Hamas," his widow, Israel Hayom publisher Dr. Miriam Adelson, said at the memorial event.

Considering the tiny size of Israel and its population, its vulnerability, and the number of fronts and threats it is facing, winning a war is not enough. Military victories, even if achieved, come at almost unbearable costs to the Israeli population.
