Speaking in Knesset, PM Bennett says the German chancellor "will arrive here early next week for an important farewell visit," three years after previous visit.

In Knesset address Bennett says "wide-ranging and bold" mission in September was launched as part of ongoing effort to find Ron Arad, a long-missing Israeli airman.

Bennett says the former leader, who served twice as prime minister before becoming the head of state, showed us "the power of goodwill."

If passed, the legislation will require the State Department to develop a strategy for expanding and strengthening the accords, as well as have the US encourage further normalization of relations with Israel.
