Small anti-Israel protests break out in Manama over opening of Israeli embassy

The state has been treating the Arab Israeli sector as a "backyard" for far too long, allowing dubious elements to overrun the public sphere. But the failure to deal with violence in Arab society also rests on the sector’s leadership.

Members of the youth branch of the local German-Israeli society, who attended the game in a mixed block of fans, say they were assaulted verbaly and physically, and that one Union Berlin fan attempted to set alight an Israeli flag taken from a female fan but was stopped by civil police.
