Syrian state television claims several Israeli missiles were intercepted. The strike reportedly damaged radar systems at the site in Tal al-Hara, a strategic hill overlooking the Golan Heights. No Israeli source corroborated the report.

Israel targeted an important Syrian military installation near the Syrian Golan Heights border early on Wednesday morning, Damascus' state television reported.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency report, the country's air defenses thwarted the strike on a control center in Tal al-Hara, shooting down a number of missiles.

Located in the Daraa Governorate, Tal al-Hara is a strategic hill overlooking the Golan Heights. For President Bashar Assad's regime, the base functions as an early warning station against Israeli airstrikes.

The missile attack reportedly damaged to radar systems at the site, and Israel then allegedly conducted an "electronic war" in which Syrian radars were subjected to interference, SANA added.

No Israeli source corroborated the report. The IDF said it does not comment on reports in the foreign media.

On June 2, the IDF struck military positions in Syria following a rocket attack on the Golan Heights. Three Syrian soldiers were reportedly killed and seven others were wounded in the strike.

A day later, Israel fired missiles at a Syrian military air base in the country's center, killing at least one soldier and wounding two others.

In May, the IDF responded with retaliatory attacks on its northern neighbor after an anti-aircraft missile was intentionally fired at an Israeli fighter jet flying in Israeli airspace.

Israel has admitted to conducting "hundreds of strikes" on Iranian-linked targets on Syrian soil and has repeatedly stated that it will not allow Iran, which has sent forces to help Syrian President Bashar Assad in Syria's civil war, to establish a permanent military presence in Syria.
