Israeli fighter jets om Thursday intercepted a drone launched from the Gaza Strip, the military said.
The unmanned aerial vehicle was "flying in an unusual way" heading west over the Mediterranean, the IDF said.
According to available details, the drone was flying at an altitude of 1,700 feet, some 5-8 miles off the coast, when an Israeli F-15 jet neutralized it just before 11 a.m.
The military's statement did not say whether the drone was fitted with explosives.
