Oscar-winning movie producer and convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein has reportedly been infected with the coronavirus, American media reported Monday.
Sentenced to 23 years in prison, Weinstein is said to currently be in medical isolation at Wende Correctional Facility in Western New York.

"There is no better breeding ground for this virus than a closed environment such as a correctional facility," Michael Powers, president of the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association, told the Niagara Gazette, which first broke the story.
Weinstein, 68, is one of two prisoners that tested positive for the virus at the maximum-security prison. At this time, it is unclear if he contracted the deadly virus while at Wende or Rikers, where he was held during his trial, or during a stay at NYC's Bellevue hospital, where he was treated for high blood pressure and chest pains.
According to Deadline, Weinstein's publicist Juda Engelmayer claimed to have no knowledge of the issue.
"Our team has not heard anything like that yet. I can't tell you what I don't know," she told the online magazine.
