Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden smashed his own monthly record by raising $383 million in September, thanks in part to an avalanche of donations after his first televised debate against President Donald Trump.
The incumbent president, in comparison, raised only $248 million.

Political experts say that Trump's nomination of conservative judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court in place of the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has also motivated Democratic donors to pour money into the Biden campaign.
With just over two weeks to go until the Nov. 3 election, Trump is dashing across counties in Georgia and Florida, where recent polls show a tightening race for the prized battleground states.
