Last month, Morocco followed the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan in moving toward normalizing relations with Israel in deals, which the Trump administration brokered in 2020.
Sensing an opportunity to try and further isolate Middle Eastern regional rival and nemesis, Iran, the Trump team, which Senior White House Adviser Jared Kushner often led, sweetened the normalization deals with promises of business aid, military hardware or economic aid.
Israel's new partners have also enjoyed bilateral benefits from Washington - in Rabat's case, US recognition of its sovereignty over Western Sahara.
Israel's Economy Ministry announced on Sunday that the countries have reached an agreement to promote trade and economic collaboration in fields including regulation and innovation.
The ministry said both sides were interested in signing the deal in about two weeks.

Also as a result of the normalization deals finalized on the White House lawn in September, the UAE approved establishing an embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel's business centre.
Israel and Morocco signed an aviation agreement Thursday, which will see direct flights between the two countries.
