Two Israel Defense Forces soldiers were hurt in the incident after a man opened fire on them during a riot, as Israeli Arabs and Palestinians in Judea and Samaria tried to show solidarity with Hamas against the backdrop of Operation Guardian of the Walls.
It was not immediately clear what the severity of their injuries was.
The incident comes just hours after another terrorist attack in Hebron, when a knife-wielding man with a Carlo submachine gun and a pipe bomb tried to attack soldiers in the city.
The bomb exploded prematurely and he was subsequently shot and neutralized.
