Children younger than 12 flying with their families will not be charged for airfare in some El Al flights, Israel Hayom has exclusively learnt.
The Israeli national carrier was poised to launch this special discount on Monday. Airport fees will still apply, as they are charged by the government.

Under the new offer, a child's ticket to Phuket in Thailand, which is set to open to vaccinated Israelis in less than a month, could cost as little as $61 compared to the $709 adults have to pay. Children who fly to Paris with their families would be charged 105$, while an adult would pay 534$.
Destinations include almost all European countries, but not Greece and Cyprus. Dubai, Seychelles and Phuket are also included in the promotion.
As the coronavirus vaccine is currently not offered to people younger than 12, they would normally have to go into quarantine once they are back in Israel.
