During a tour of the Knesset building arranged for new inductees, IDF Cpl. Einav Shenkar spotted the piano used at Knesset gala events.

Shenkar, a basic training commander at the Bahad 7 school for the C41 Telecommunications and Computers Corps, realized she couldn't pass up an opportunity to tickle the ivories and asked permission to play. The request went all the way up to Knesset Director General Samy Bakalash, who upon hearing that it came from a soldier, agreed.

Once it was cleared, Shenkar sat down and began to play "Comptine d'Un Autre Été," by French composer Yann Tiersen.
Shenkar's impromptu performance was enjoyed by her comrades as well as her father, Menashe Shenkar, who is a veteran Knesset employee.
